Our Religious Education Programme

St. Oswald's follows the Come and See programme of religious education which is recommended by Salford Diocese.

Come and See is an invitation to exploration and promise of life for everyone. Come and See offers the opportunity to search, explore, discover and respond; this is part of what it is to be human.

Come and See aims to raise questions and provide materials for children to reflect on their own experiences. For all children, the programme will raise questions of meaning and purpose and enable them to think critically.

The scheme will help children to explore the beliefs and values and the way of life of the Catholic traditions as well as those of other faiths.

Collective Worship : Adobe Acrobat file (181.1k)

Worship is an extremely important part of life at St. Oswald's. With the help of the school faith council, we have created our own weekly themes. These themes are based around the liturgical year and also include other national key events that take place.
